Informational Links for Operation Forgotten Warrior and for the Forgotten Warrior II

There is a lot of information for veterans that even the VA, VSOs and researchers have a hard time with it all. So do not think we are even comes any where close to a strating point. We do work to make sure the links are to good sources so that if a veteran needs information for a claim it will hold up to the standards set forth.

Link List Title

  • National Gulf War Resource link page for claims help.
  • War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC) Home .
  • The Veterans Administration (VA) New Jersey Health Care System WRIISC clinic serves MN, offering tele-health telephone consultations, accept national referrals for second opinions, and assess exposure to disability-causing factors.
  • Veteran Benefits Network
The Veterans Network is a large board where veterans can get help on all kinds of claims issues. It has some experts helping and some non too. It is not a social club so fighting is taken care of. This link will take you right to the gulf war illness part.
The Research Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans' Illnesses was created by Congress in 1998, and first appointed by Secretary of Veterans Affairs Anthony J. Principi in January, 2002.
  • The Forgotten Warrior II Facebook page
For many Facebook (FB) is the way of today, even with the problems it brings. The website will be the one place for many things and the FB will be the other. Just keep in mind, things get lost FAST on FB.
  • VA's Gulf War Veterans' Illnesses Page
Certain illnesses are associated with Gulf War service in the Southwest Asia theater of military operations during the first Gulf War starting August 2, 1990 through the conflict in Iraq. VA offers eligible Veterans a free Gulf War Registry health exam to find possible long-term health problems related to Gulf War service.
  • VA Office of the Inspector General
The office of the IG looks in to may different parts of the VA. If your claim is getting denied over and over with many other veterans you can have this office look into it. You should make sure you have a very solid claim. Like a true Diagnosis of fibromyalgia getting denied for not being in your STR or my all time favorite on a denial "we denied your claim of Fibromyalgia as it is cause by a diagnosed illness of fibromyalgia." Yes I do see ratings like this. Vets with this need to write the OIG. These VARO's need some real training.
